Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused individual to join our team at Athens Golf Center as an Assistant Golf Professional/Shop Attendant. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the driving range facility and providing exceptional service to our patrons. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to creating a positive experience for golfers of all skill levels.

Responsibilities:

Customer Service: Welcome customers to the golf center with a friendly and approachable demeanor.Assist customers with purchasing range balls, renting equipment, and answering inquiries about services and amenities.Provide guidance and instruction on range usage, safety protocols, and etiquette to ensure an enjoyable experience for all patrons.Assist Director of Instruction in conducting golf camps and clinics. Range Maintenance: Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the facility, including ball dispensers, mats, and surrounding areas.Conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities to identify any maintenance or safety concerns, promptly reporting issues to management for resolution.Pick, refill and organize range balls, ensuring an adequate supply is available for customers at all times. Cash Handling and Transactions: Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash, credit card, and electronic payments.Balance cash registers, reconcile daily sales reports, and adhere to established cash handling procedures.Maintain an orderly and secure cash handling environment, following company policies and protocols for safeguarding assets. Customer Engagement and Promotion: Actively engage with customers to promote driving range services, special promotions, and upcoming events.Distribute marketing materials, such as flyers and brochures, to raise awareness of additional offerings and opportunities.Solicit customer feedback and suggestions for improving the driving range experience, communicating insights to management for consideration. Safety and Compliance: Enforce driving range rules and regulations, including proper use of equipment, adherence to safety guidelines, and respect for fellow patrons.Monitor range activity to ensure compliance with safety protocols and take corrective action as needed to address any unsafe behaviors or conditions.Stay informed about emergency procedures and protocols, providing assistance and guidance to customers in the event of an emergency or evacuation.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in customer service or a related field preferred.Basic knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and terminology is beneficial.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues.Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Reliable and punctual, with a flexible schedule to accommodate weekend and holiday shifts as needed.Cash handling experience and familiarity with point-of-sale systems is advantageous.
