General Liability/Labor Law Attorney

We are currently seeking a qualified Attorney specializing in General Liability and Labor Law to join our dynamic legal team. This position is ideal for someone who has a strong background in insurance defense, particularly in managing and defending negligence or bodily injury lawsuits primarily from the defense perspective rather than as plaintiff's counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
Defend lawsuits related to construction accidents under NY Labor Law.
Handle cases involving premises liability as defense counsel.
Take and manage depositions, draft and oppose motions, and prepare legal pleadings.
Evaluate high exposure cases and effectively report findings and recommendations to insurance companies.
While not required, attending Mediations and minimal trial participation would be beneficial
Required Experience and Qualifications:
1-7 years of experience in a relevant legal role.
Demonstrable expertise in insurance defense and a strong understanding of Labor Law in New York.
Experience in handling "construction accident " lawsuits and premises liability cases.
Capability to manage a comprehensive legal caseload effectively and meet deadlines.
Proficient in legal research, analysis, and reporting to insurance entities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous in-house experience with a liability insurance company is highly desirable.
Experience in Mediations and some exposure to trial settings.
Location: NY, Midtown
