Description

 General Summary
The CCI RA I is responsible for providing supplemental administrative support to the BWH Center for Clinical
 Investigation (CCI). The RA I is responsible for working with the Administrative Director and CCI Managers across the
 various operational, educational and financial activities within the CCI. This position will report directly to the Operations
 Manager.
The RA I will spend time providing assistance with general research administration and business and operational
 management of the CCI.
The RA I will spend time working specifically with the:
- Administrative and Operations Teams: Perform general administrative tasks to support day to day operations of the CCI,
 including; running data reports, analyzing data, supporting scheduling and front desk activities, taking notes in meetings,
 responding to research team inquiries, filing documents and other tasks as requested.
- Financial Manager: Running census and financial reports and performing data entry in support of monthly financial
 reporting.
- Education Program: Developing materials and performing general administrative tasks for research educational service
 offerings, marketing, and reporting.


Background:
The Center for Clinical Investigation (CCI) provides facilities and services in support of the research community, leading to
 a more effective and robust clinical research enterprise at Brigham and Women’s Hospital.
The CCI provides inpatient, outpatient and laboratory facilities; mid-level practitioner, nursing, laboratory tech services in
 support of research activities across the hospital.
- Facilities include inpatient units, outpatient exam rooms, and lab processing and storage space.
- Research support staff include mid-level practitioners, nurses, research technicians, laboratory technicians, metabolism
 and nutrition researchers, ultrasound technicians, biostatistics consultants, educators, research coordinators and
 administrators


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Operations Management2. Assist with document and data management for the Protocol Approval Process.
3. Assist with data collection and analysis to accurately collect, track, and report information relating to patient census
 information and resource usage in support of business analysis.
4. Serve as a project assistant as needed.
5. Support front desk activities as needed.
6. Support scheduling template creation as needed.
0. Financial Management1. Assist the Operations Coordinator and the Finance Manager with monthly administrative tasks
 such as generating invoices, drafting journal entries, and filing purchase orders.
2. Assist with Payroll data entry.
3. Assist in the organization and data management of purchasing and payroll records.
4. Assist in financial and business reporting as requested.
0. Education and Marketing 1. Update information on the website
2. Assist with meetings/conferences, seminars, and other CCI sponsored programs or events.
3. Assist with participant registration, evaluations and data entry.
4. Provide staff coverage during courses.
5. Assist with preparation and distribution of educational materials.
6. Support development of education and marketing content as required.
0. Other Administrative Responsibilities1. As requested, attend meetings and assist with agendas, minutes and other
 related activities for the CCI.
2. Undertake special projects assigned.
3. Perform other duties as assigned. 

Qualifications

- Bachelors degree required 
- Some knowledge of medical terminology, clinical practice and/or research studies highly desired.
- Sound independent judgment and willingness to learn competence in research methodologies a must.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is desirable
