: Manages the operation of the Rail Verification and T&E Compliance. Coordinates with the T&E Verification Manger, Manager of T&E Compliance and the Managers in Crew Management to ensure constant and reliable communication between departments, minimize claims and increase efficiencies in verification and payroll processing.  Manages the data flow between departments as it relates to information required to effectively track T&E employee’s statuses for the purposes of relating accurate information to Medical, Rules and other departments as required.  Confers with union representatives to reconcile unresolved disputes regarding compliance and compensation related to the Rail Verification and T&E Compliance Departments.  Conducts periodic evaluations of practices and procedures to recommend and develop more efficient strategies where applicable.  Manages staff to ensure that Verification, and Compliance departments are operating in conjunction with all applicable collective bargaining agreements and established operating procedures for efficient manpower utilization, tracking of attendance, progressive discipline, and verification of compensation for T&E employees. Confers with Rail Operations System Development and in developing, maintaining, and improving existing computer applications critical to the daily dispatching, tracking and payment of T&E crews. Participates in the implementation and testing of newly developed systems to guarantee that critical functions of associated departments are addressed and provides appropriate training materials when applicable.  Represents NJT at waiver negotiation meetings and hearings as directed by the Director Crew Management / Operations Compliance / QA

Education, Experience, and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Business Administration, Engineering, or related area, from a US Department of Education accredited college or university or equivalent, and five (5) years of industry experience, with a minimum of five (5) years in service planning, crew and equipment scheduling, cost analysis, service development environment, or related experience.  One year of closely related work experience can be substituted for each year of education required.

Knowledge and Skills:

 Must possess excellent written and verbal skills.  Knowledge of Crew Dispatch office regulations  Must be familiar with Rail T&E Verification processes and systems  Knowledge of T&E and TCU agreements preferred
