Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing technical support for in-house repair center activities, including handling complex product repairs, supporting other field service activities, reconditioning, repairing, and maintaining tools and equipment utilized in service work, and conducting in-house technical training programs.

Job Details/Responsibilities

1.  In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures. 
2.  Diagnose and repair electro-mechanical devices that have been returned from the field; may need to use hand tools, soldering irons, and adhesives, and may occasionally use microscopes.
3.  Operate computerized testing and calibration equipment.
4.  Perform electro-mechanical upgrades on returned devices as needed.
5.  Coordinate and order materials required to inspect, clean, troubleshoot, upgrade, and repair assigned equipment.
6.  Prepare repair estimates and communicate estimate to customers. Acquire PO # from customers as required.
7.  Coordinate in-house service activities to handle planned maintenance, as well as other/unplanned critical service repair work.
8.  Coordinate all tools, parts, and equipment required for assigned in-house service work.

9.  Maintain communication with field service management, Associates, and external customers on status of service work.
10. Report to supervisor regularly on customer feedback, service issues, and resolution.
11. Plan and coordinate the in-house service activities as related to the reconditioning, repairing, and maintenance of tools and equipment utilized for service work.
12. Assist in the development and coordination of in-house training programs.
13. Ensure department assets are inventoried in accordance with company procedures.
14. Manage priorities based on customer demand. 
15. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
16. Perform other duties as assigned.

 

Pay & Benefits:

  • Pay for this position starts at $28.70 p/h. 
  • 80 hours pro-rated vacation and 40 hours sick time offered

Qualifications/ Background Experiences

Requires a two-year college degree in an engineering or electro-mechanical technology field of study and a minimum of three years of electro-mechanical repair or assembly experience. Intermediate computer software skills, i.e., Microsoft Office. Experience in medical device industry preferred.  

The annualized base salary range for this role is $28.70 to $31.82. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, internal equity, skillset, knowledge, geography, education, business needs and market demand.
