SUMMARY:

  • The Owner's Representative Project Manager oversees all aspects of construction and real estate projects on behalf of the client/owner. They are responsible for ensuring that the project progresses on schedule, within budget, and meets all quality standards. This role involves managing contractors, coordinating with architects and engineers, and communicating project status to the client.
RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Maintain comprehensive project plans, outlining project scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure that contractors adhere to contractual obligations and project specifications.
  • Monitor project expenditures, track costs, and approve payments. Implement cost-saving measures and manage change orders.
  • Monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of milestones. Address delays or issues that impact the project timeline.
  • Ensure that all work meets quality standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct inspections and quality checks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively address issues that may affect project outcomes.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the client/owner and stakeholders. Provide regular project updates, reports, and presentations. Facilitate meetings and maintain open communication channels.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including contracts, permits, drawings, and correspondence. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Address conflicts, disputes, and issues that arise during the project. Collaborate with stakeholders to find solutions and maintain positive relationships.

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in construction with a focus on owner representation. 10+ years preferred
  • Strong knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively interact with clients, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Primavera).
  • Leadership abilities with a strategic mindset and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, CMIT) are a plus.
