We are in search of a stellar Attorney with exceptional expertise in defending employers in labor and employment litigation. The ideal candidate will have a remarkable ability to independently manage a diverse portfolio of employment cases from intake to resolution. This includes excelling in taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing motions, conducting thorough discovery, preparing meticulously for trial, navigating various court proceedings, and negotiating settlements with finesse. If you have a demonstrated track record of excellence and a passion for delivering outstanding legal representation, we want to hear from you.
In this role, the Attorney will directly collaborate with employer clients, offering expert counsel and representation on matters such as discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination, wage and hour violations, PAGA claims, and other related litigation. This successful Attorney will be entrusted with devising key case strategies and litigating with precision, all while maintaining regular and transparent communication with clients. This position presents an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious attorney to grow into a partner role within a renowned and well-established law firm.
Qualifications for Attorney:
- 4-7+ years of experience in Labor & Employment litigation, preferably wage and hour or class action defense
- Experience drafting various legal documents, arguing motions, discovery and responses, taking/defending depositions and trial preparation
- Possess excellent writing, analytical, and interpersonal skills
- Value a team environment while prepared to work independently and assume significant responsibilities
- J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school
- California bar license
- Highly motivated, ambitious, with a desire for growth and responsibility
- First/Second chair trial experience is a plus
