JOB OVERVIEW

DigiCert is seeking to hire a SVP Cloud Operations based in the US with a preference to Lehi, UT or Sunnyvale, CA. The SVP of Cloud Operations is a critical leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and management of our cloud infrastructure and SaaS operations. This role ensures the reliability, availability, and scalability of our cloud-based services and platforms, supporting our commitment to deliver exceptional service to our customers. The SVP of Cloud Operations will lead a team of SRE’s, Infrastructure engineers, and Network Operations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and innovation.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the Cloud Operations team including SRE, infrastructure, data centers, and network operations, fostering a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and exceptional service delivery. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of our cloud infrastructure, adopting industry best practices and cutting-edge technologies while maintaining high security of operations. Manage and optimize cloud costs, ensuring efficient resource utilization and budget compliance. Collaborate with the product development teams to support the deployment and operation of SaaS offerings. Oversee incident management, ensuring timely resolution of issues and communication with stakeholders. Drive innovation in cloud operations, exploring new technologies and approaches to enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction. Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and report on the effectiveness of cloud operations. Develop, monitor, and manage comprehensive Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to ensure cloud services meet and exceed customer expectations. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements affecting cloud operations. Provide mentorship to engineering teams, acting as a technical SME across departments. Ensure continuous progress and smooth transitions throughout all product development lifecycles. Stay up to date on next-generation technologies and present findings to leadership team. Promote technical and operational achievement by developing measurements and methods for evaluation and advancement. Provide 99.999% strategy to all SaaS products and services. Global contract negotiation with vendors and partners.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. 15+ years of professional experience in an engineering management/leadership role Technical experience including Kubernetes, Containerization, and NoSQL environments. Proven track record of 99.99% uptime in SaaS environments and companies. Strong technical background in managing colocation (colo) data centers in addition to experience with cloud computing technologies and providers such as AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI. Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale infrastructure projects within colocation facilities and cloud environments, ensuring optimal performance, security, and cost efficiency. Excellent strategic planning, problem-solving, and project management skills. Strong leadership and communication skills, capable of motivating and guiding teams and effectively communicating with stakeholders. Knowledge of compliance frameworks and industry standards relevant to cloud security, operations, and data center management. CI/CD pipeline and build process design, implementation, and architecture. Previous management experience and familiarity with agile software-development methodology.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field. 99.999% uptime experience. Knowledge of PKI systems and infrastructure. Experience working with Cryptography and highly secure cybersecurity environments.
