Responsibilities

Position 1: Melting Spare 

Observing and maintaining magnesium, silicon, and chill material levels. Additionally, change lime bags as necessary. Pouring Iron Weigh coke and lime before each charge, check the coke and lime scale. Clean the cupola long runner. Clean pig bed and transfer ladle pits and any other areas assigned by supervisor. Work with supervisor if ladles need to be repaired before the production run. Communicate supervisor/s on issues that arise.

Position 2: Casting Spare

Check the temperature of the iron hourly, remove slag from iron by using skimmer. Remove buildup from quad ladle as needed, in addition to keeping the ladle full always. Ensure the trough is heated properly. Maintain the maintenance of the trough by removing slivers, iron buildup, slag, and blackening. Inspect machinery for mold defects. Operate control panels to operate machinery. Apply grease on spigot ring using a brush to spinning pipe mold. Remove iron from spigot ring and spill tray. Other duties that are assigned by supervisor/manager.

Position 3: Hot Line Spare

In this position, the team member will be trained and qualified to operate the following equipment

Oven Loader Oven Tender Weighman Grinder Cut Saw Transfer car #2 & #3 Small and Large test Press Pipe roller Zinc Machine
