The Technician A, R/E is responsible for effectively performing R&E routine work associated with heavy aircraft A, B, C and D checks.

Day Shift: 0500 - 1400, but may vary due to arrival and departure times.  Monday through Friday, with some weekend requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Detailed knowledge of aircraft avionics and electrical systems. Understand engineering methodology for systems installations. Launch and recovery of USMS aircraft. Predeparture and daily inspections. Pireps Log Book items. All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Must have a minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training. Must have an FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P) license. Previous experience in warehousing, handling inventory, and bar code equipment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Constantly: Lifting 10 lbs., standing, walking, wrist flexion and extension, environmental weather conditions.  Frequently: Lifting ≤40 lbs., push/pull
