Job Description:
As a Terminal Manager at you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and effective operations of our moving terminal. You will be responsible for managing a team of employees, ensuring the safe handling and transportation of our customers' belongings, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a commitment to upholding the company's reputation for quality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of terminal staff, including movers, drivers, and administrative personnel.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, communication, and a strong work ethic.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and feedback to employees for continuous improvement.
  • Operations Oversight:
  • Ensure that all moving and transportation operations are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline processes and maximize productivity.
  • Schedule and coordinate moving assignments, including logistics, truck assignments, and crew allocation.
  • Customer Service:
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
  • Resolve any service issues or discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that customers' belongings are handled with care and delivered in accordance with agreed-upon schedules.
  • Safety and Compliance:
  • Uphold safety standards and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions for employees to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Monitor and maintain equipment, including trucks, for safety and functionality.
  • Inventory and Asset Management:
  • Oversee the tracking and maintenance of moving equipment, supplies, and inventory.
  • Manage the procurement of necessary materials and supplies to support daily operations.
  • Reporting:
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on terminal performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify areas for improvement in terminal operations and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, preferably in the moving and transportation industry.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using computer software and technology for scheduling, reporting, and inventory management.
  • Valid driver's license and the ability to obtain any necessary certifications or licenses.
  • Ability to operate a Forklift and obtain certification if not already certified
