Pay

  • $20.00-$50.00/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC system issues, identifying root causes and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Conduct routine inspections of HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Repair or replace defective components in HVAC systems, such as compressors, motors, fans, and thermostats.
  • Test HVAC systems after repairs or installations to ensure proper functionality and safety.
  • Perform regular cleaning and maintenance tasks, including replacing filters, lubricating moving parts, and clearing debris from system components.
  • Calibrate HVAC controls to achieve desired temperature and humidity levels within buildings.
  • Collaborate with clients to explain system issues, maintenance requirements, and potential upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of all service and repair activities, including parts used and labor hours.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Follow safety protocols and regulations when working with HVAC equipment, refrigerants, and electrical systems.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing client concerns and questions in a professional manner.
  • Respond to emergency service calls for HVAC system breakdowns and perform necessary repairs.
  • Collaborate with other team members, such as electricians and contractors, to coordinate projects involving HVAC systems.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to expand expertise in new technologies and equipment.
  • Provide input on equipment upgrades, replacements, and system improvements based on field observations.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines when handling refrigerants and other materials.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, both during and after service calls.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and reporting requirements.

  • 5+ years of previous experience in HVAC system maintenance, and repair is preferred
  • Possession of a valid EPA certification required
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units
  • Knowledge of HVAC control systems, wiring diagrams, and schematics
  • Familiarity with various types of HVAC equipment, including furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, and ventilation systems
  • Skilled in using tools and equipment relevant to HVAC maintenance and repair
  • Knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with clients and explain technical issues clearly
  • Ability to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and other relevant parties
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record with no major violations
  • Must be able to pass a background check with a clean record
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
