We seek a skilled Audio-Visual Installation Technician who will perform various installation duties on technology projects for an enterprise client nationwide. This is a crucial field position for most work in our client’s buildings. You will collaborate with project management, field superintendents, and other team members to achieve a successful installation for enterprise-level integrated audio-visual projects. The installations can include displays, projectors, loudspeakers, microphones, equipment racks, and much more. You will also help mentor Associate Installation Technicians who learn skills on specific projects.

You work autonomously to perform tasks without supervision and ask questions or escalate issues as they arise. Uses sound judgment and has excellent customer service skills having diplomacy with clients and stakeholders on the job sites.

Where will you be doing?

Perform commercial integrated audio-visual system project installation, including low voltage wiring, termination, cable labelling, testing, setup, and support preparation of rack building. Ensures the physical installation of various equipment & technologies at project client sites is performed, complying with the installation drawings, company procedures, safety protocol, and code standards. Execute the build and wire of custom designs from engineering drawings. Provide a consistent level of technical performance and flexibility in the work schedule. This position requires periodic overtime for extended periods to meet fabrication deadlines. Maintain an organized work environment, toolkit, company vehicles, installation materials, and inventories that are clean, orderly, and well-documented. What do we require from you?

High School Diploma or GED is required. AVIXA CTS and other certification is preferred Willingness work after hours/weekends as needed.  2+ years of experience as an associate installation or fabrication technician in the commercial audio-visual integration or related industry required.  OSHA 30 is highly desired Familiarity with a wide range of audio, video, and networking equipment and can diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems. Knowledge of low voltage electrical concepts, i.e., Ohms law. Proficiency in the use and safety of power tools; possess basic carpentry and installation skills. Must be able to lift, stand, crouch, and climb throughout the day on projects. Ability to work well under the pressure of deadlines, technical capability, professionalism, self-motivation, attention to detail, and work effectively with teams.

Travel?

Employee must possess a valid driver’s license in their state of residence.  Occasional travel by car and occasional airplane trips are required. Local travel to job sites (within a 2-hour driving distance each way) will make up 70-90% usually but remote travel can be up to 30% of the job at times.
