Job Description:

Job Type: PT Adjunct Traditional On Ground or Online class: Remote/On-ground hybrid Undergraduate or Graduate class: Graduate Date class is scheduled to begin: 9/5/2023 Class schedule: Labs 1.5 weekends/month Duration of class: 12/22/2023 Time of class: Online and on ground

Course Description:

The occupational therapy process and domain in relation to pediatric practice settings are reviewed and students begin to develop clinical reasoning skills. This course focuses on typical and atypical development throughout childhood. Activity analysis and frame of reference related to pediatric OT practice are introduced. Students gain an understanding of the roles of OT practitioners when working in a variety of pediatric settings. Students learn screening, assessment, and documentation methods.


Requirements:

Degree requirements for position: Master's or higher preferred Previous teaching experience: Yes. 1-year minimum preferred within the areas of OT and hybrid learning. Current Massachusetts Occupational Therapy license Participate in course development. Current licensure as an OTR. Eligible for professional licensure in Massachusetts. Ability to use the University's resources, notably technology, to promote effective teaching and learning. Work collaboratively with the Program Director and other faculty to ensure the course meets accreditation standards. Engage in the process of formative and summative course evaluation to enhance the student learning experience. Adhere to HIPPA and FERPA privacy standards. Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Should be committed to a culture of diversity, equity, respect and inclusion.
