Project Overview:

Baer is seeking a SAP Technical Architect SME to lead the technical upgrade of a critical Financial and Procurement system for a major branch of the Department of Defense (DoD), transitioning from SAP ECC to S4 HANA.

The project focuses on a fit-to-standard approach, minimizing customizations and aligning with S4 HANA's standard configuration. Key efforts include defining requirements for the upgrade and supporting business process re-engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing expertise in S4 HANA standards, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards.
  • Designing an integrated solution, including systems architecture and interface requirements.
  • Collaborating with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to translate functional to technical requirements.
  • Defining information technology (IT) controls environment by providing financial statement audit expertise.

Requirements:

  • 9+ years of relevant SAP experience, including 6 years of experience leading business systems modernization/sustainment and related projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree in an appropriate technical field from an accredited institution.
  • Professional IT Certification - CISA (or similar) or Certification in one or more relevant SAP Modules.
  • Department of Defense (DoD), Federal Public Sector, or government regulated industry experience required.
