Job Description

The University of Nevada, Reno invites applications for the position of Student Worker III at the Sanford Center for Aging. This role is pivotal in supporting our research endeavors through program evaluation and data analysis.

Note: The selected candidate may be required to complete HIPAA training for handling sensitive health information and CITI training for responsible conduct of research.

Responsibilities:

Accurately input and review survey data, maintaining database integrity

Implement data cleaning techniques to ensure quality and reliability

Perform data analysis to extract meaningful insights

Assist the Evaluation Program Lead in data organization and reporting

Assist in manuscript preparation for peer-reviewed publications, including conducting literature searches and contributing to writing.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must be enrolled at the University of Nevada, Reno as a graduate student

Candidate must have a minimum GPA of 3.0

Candidate must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Candidate must have completed foundational graduate-level statistics or social science research methods courses (quantitative)

Candidate is proficient in database software, particularly SPSS and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience in data cleaning, management, and analysis

Familiarity with survey software such as Qualtrics and Alchemer
