Our division is very active clinically. We average 25-30 pediatric kidney transplants per year and follow more than 200 kidney transplant recipients. We follow 40-50 chronic pediatric dialysis patients. We have dedicated clinics for kidney transplantation, peritoneal dialysis, hypertension, transition of kidney transplant patients, lupus, and chronic kidney disease. Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta
The fellowship program is funded by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, our non-profit children’s hospital. Children’s is currently building a beautiful, 19-story hospital on more than 70 acres that will include a clinic building (already completed) and over 20 acres of greenspace. Children’s will have over 800 beds when the new hospital opens in 9/29/2024. The new hospital will include a dedicated transplant clinic and a dialysis unit.
