Job Summary

The HR Administrator provides administrative support to the HR function as needed, including responsibilities such as file maintenance, back-up HRMS administration, report generation, training support, and employee investigation support. The HR Administrator is a main point of contact for employee inquiries.

Responsibilities

Provides day-to-day support for the delivery of human resource services throughout the organization Responsible for HRMS entry and maintenance Completes necessary follow-up to new hire and separation-related processes Responds to employee inquiries and requests regarding systems access Prepares ad-hoc reports and performs analyses as needed. Assists with onboarding newly hired employees to include preparing onboarding forms, new employee orientation, uploading new hire onboard forms, completing onboard processing. Maintains I-9 forms and documents on all active and terminated employees ensuring compliance with collecting and tracking working permits. Uploads documentation relating to personnel activities such as training, disciplinary action, performance evaluations, raises, terminations, job changes, status changes, etc. Assists with employee relation matters, including providing support in HR investigations. Acts as liaison for employee inquires on health insurance benefits, as needed. Performs other duties and projects as assigned.

Technical Skills:  Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, HRIS knowledge

Communication Skills –  Fluent English, both oral and written. Spanish speaking is a plus.

Work Environment:  This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, faxes and scanners.

Required Education and Experience:

Degree in Human Resource Management or minimum of 2 years Human Resources and Proficiency with HR Management Systems (Sage product knowledge is a plus) Must be organized, detail-oriented and have solid time-management skills Ability to work with highly confidential information and maintain confidentiality Ability to work independently with little supervision required. Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment Strong analytical and interpretation skills Strong written and interpersonal communication skills

Additional Eligibility Qualifications:  The ideal candidate is a dynamic HR professional with broad business partner skills and experience in a restoration/reconstruction company. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge on HR fundamentals in the areas of focus: human resources management, benefits administration, performance management, communication processes, compensation and wage structure, supports diversity, classifying employees, employment law, laws against sexual harassment, and organization.
