TechFlow Inc. has an opportunity for a Design Lead with experience executing customer/user experience (CX/UX) strategies and creating products that engage users.  The ideal candidate will be proficient in human centered design, change management, how people interact effectively with websites, digital tools and have proficiency in the latest CX/UX methods and technology trends.

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage the CX/UX related planning, prioritization and decision making. Advocate for broader CX/UX activities in support of HSIN as needed.

·         Lead and participate in sessions that leverage CX/UX design methods and strategies.

·         Translate user needs into concepts, personas, user journeys, information architecture, user flows, wireframes and visual design prototypes using tools such as Figma, Mural, and Optimal Workshop.

·         Conduct and synthesize user research and usability testing and translate those results into designs that will improve products in an iterative fashion.

·         Lead efforts to develop and implement customer-specific design patterns and information architecture that adhere to DHS brand guidelines.

·         Responsible for researching, conceptualizing, designing and making applications more usable and user friendly.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience + 11 years of additional experience

·         Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies.

·         Applies the User Experience methodology to process and software design to eliminate drag. Re-write as experience. Experience applying User Experience Methodology etc….

·         Experience piloting a plain language content strategy to facilitate an easy-to-understand user experience for all users.

  • Understanding of common software development and agile development practices.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in web design and development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, responsive design, web standards backward browser capability.

Working knowledge of browsers, WYSIWYG editors, graphic design software (ex. - Photoshop, Illustrator), animation software, and image optimization.
