Hello Thank you for your interest in joining the Wellspring team as a Full Time Behavioral Health Therapist with the Behavioral Health program. As a statewide nonprofit serving families and children in need of support, we take a whole-person approach to our organization and delivery of our services because we believe we must find the strengths in people and build on these for lasting change to occur.

When you join our team as a Behavioral Health Therapist within the behavioral health program, you'll be part of a team of therapists and professionals committed to supporting people in and around Clare as they address their mental health and wellness.
In this position, you'll bring a master's degree in social work or related human service field and hold a limited license (LLMSW), a full license (LMSW) or hold a professional counselor license (LPC) through the State of Michigan's licensing and regulatory affairs. You will have experience working with and delivering clinical services to children, families and individuals. In addition, you will hold credentials that allow access to multiple funding and referral streams. Residing in Michigan is required.

As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will:
  • Provide individual, family, couple and group behavioral health counseling that is culturally relevant, utilizing theoretical models both in-person and virtually.
  • Provide telephone consultation, referral and crisis intervention services, and make recommendations regarding intake for ongoing services as applicable.
  • Complete assessments and create treatment plans for clients.
  • Coordinate the delivery of services with other service providers, both internally and externally, to other agencies and area professionals.
  • Provide advocacy services for clients and link people with area resources.
  • Assess and collect fees in accordance with the agency fee policy.
  • Prepare reports within the appropriate timeframes.
  • Maintain case files and documentation of client contact/activities to support accurate and timely billing procedures
  • Participate in the development of policies and procedures for delivering quality services.
  • Supervise student interns as assigned.
