Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team of automotive professionals.
As an Automotive Technician at Garlyn Shelton Volkswagen in Temple, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Volkswagen vehicles, ensuring our customers receive reliable and high-quality automotive services.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks specific to Volkswagen vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues in Volkswagen vehicles, such as engine and transmission problems.
  • Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify additional service requirements, adhering to Volkswagen's high-quality standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot and resolve Volkswagen-specific vehicle issues.
  • Provide accurate estimates for repair work and communicate effectively with customers regarding necessary repairs and costs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all Volkswagen-specific tools and equipment are in excellent working condition.
  • Stay up-to-date with Volkswagen automotive technology and industry advancements through continuous learning.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training or certification, especially in Volkswagen vehicles, is a plus.
  • Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a strong track record of successful Volkswagen repairs and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools for Volkswagen vehicles.
  • Strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
