Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Technician to join our team of automotive professionals. As an Automotive Technician at Garlyn Shelton Cadillac Buick GMC in Temple, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Cadillac, Buick, and GMC vehicles, ensuring our customers receive reliable and high-quality automotive services.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks specific to Cadillac, Buick, and GMC vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Diagnose and repair complex automotive issues in Cadillac, Buick, and GMC vehicles, such as engine and transmission problems.
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify additional service requirements, adhering to manufacturer's standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot and resolve vehicle-specific issues.
- Provide accurate estimates for repair work and communicate effectively with customers regarding necessary repairs and costs.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and equipment are in excellent working condition.
- Stay up-to-date with automotive technology and industry advancements through continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technical training or certification, especially in Cadillac, Buick, and GMC vehicles, is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a strong track record of successful repairs and maintenance in the automotive industry.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools for Cadillac, Buick, and GMC vehicles.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
