JOB TITLE: General Manager for D1 Training Facility

JOB PURPOSE & GOAL:


The purpose of this role is to provide leadership and daily direction for sales and coaching teams in our facility. The goals of this role are to: 1) ensure efficient and effective performance to reach financial objectives, 2) foster D1 core values, 3) establish community relationships to promote the D1 brand, and 4) drive local market awareness and engagement activities.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the owners.

JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:


1. Create a D1 environment that motivates and inspires all to be their best and achieve their goals.

2. Oversee day-to-day activities, leading staff, driving membership sales, coordinating personal training & team training sales, promoting member retention, and providing conflict resolution as needed.

Leadership Management


3. Attract, hire, and retain D1 Team members. Motivate, train, and evaluate the team.

4. Foster an authentic, open, transparent culture where feedback is welcome. Communication is key.

5. Develop a consistent cadence for meetings (team and individual) with clear agendas and goals.

6. Ability to delegate and empower.

7. Organized.

Operations


8. Ensure the facility meets standards for opening/closing, cleanliness, safety, and security. Delegate lists to the team. Serve as the key point of contact for maintenance servicing/needs.

9. Process, QC, and submit payroll.

10. Maintain a high level of understanding/competence on Loyalsnap, MINDBODY, Scorpion, Instagram, and any other D1 systems.

11. Prepare and present quarterly/yearly budgets to ownership, continually monitor and manage the P&L report.

12. Responsible for organic lead generation relationship and tracking.

13. Develop community partnerships (schools, clubs, businesses, influencers, charities, organizations).

14. Plan and execute successful off-site events (fairs, events, games).

Retail Sales


15. Own, train, and manage the D1 sales process.

16. Sales Leader – Takes most clients, and leads in sales.

17. Customer service and conflict resolution.

15. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

16. Recognized certification: NASM or CSCS

17. 3+ years experience in operations of gym or weight room

18. Knowledge of gym or retail operations a plus

19. Loud personality and highly energetic with a “can do” attitude
