Description:

The purchasing clerk performs a variety of clerical duties to ensure adequate par levels. This includes initiating purchase orders through the Hospital's computer system and receiving purchasing orders through the system. The purchasing clerk works with other departments to assess and supply the required medical products and equipment. Other responsibilities include ordering, receiving, and distributing supplies.


Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Demonstrated basic computer skills.
  • Hospital Management knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, Meditech software, and group purchasing organizations.
  • Previous experience with inventory systems preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills.
