Summary of Role

Full-time sales and designer position assisting customers with selecting window coverings to help with style, function, budget, and other factors.  The job includes giving consultations, measuring, quoting, following-up with outstanding quotes, ordering, and assisting with coordinating the install and post install follow up.  We offer a mix of leads from both local and national marketing campaigns.  Successful candidates will also be willing to work building local relationships with builders, designers, and other connectors to foster a solid referral foundation.  We offer paid training and a competitive commission structure that truly enables unlimited earning potential. 

Specialty Opportunities:

o    Canyon County – Someone to specifically work and grow our Canyon County market.

o    Commercial – Someone to help build and coordinate our commercial window covering sales both light, medium and large commercial jobs.   

o    Automation – Someone to help build and coordinate home automation projects.

o    Hunter Douglas – Someone to help grow and build our Hunter Douglas market share.

o    Exterior Products – Someone to help grow and build our exterior products offerings and sales. 

Responsibilities
 
  • Participate in lead generating activities including working with builders, Realtors, designers, door hangers, canvassing, networking, showroom, home shows, etc.  
  • Complete in-home consultations for window coverings including blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and other home accents.
  • Offer exceptional customer service and expert design advice.
  • Accurately measure windows and place orders for products.
  • Discuss job details with installers and assist with certain installs when necessary.
  • Document all sales communications.
  • Follow all company policy and procedures including timely completion of submitting orders and reports.
  • Respond to emails and phone calls promptly.
  • Follow up on all leads and pending sales to closure.
  • Follow up with all customers including resolving any issues to ensure they love their window coverings.
  • Coordinate with vendors, installers, and office support.
  • Stay current on window treatment trends and product changes.
  • Successfully learn and use sales process and always refine sales skills.
  • Participate in weekly sales meetings and vendor, corporate, team trainings.
  • Willing to assist in covering the showroom.
  • Always strive to improve customer eXperience and build both business and personal brand. 
  • Other duties as assigned.
 Qualifications
 
  • Must be people-oriented, charismatic, self-motivated, outgoing, and enthusiastic.
  • Excellent clean driving record.
  • Must pass background check and drug test.
  • Strong math skills; familiar with profit margins.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Experience using a CRM strongly preferred. 
  • Previous experience with invoicing is helpful.
  • Honest, respectful and service oriented.
  • Previous sales or customer service experience preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Capable of learning to use and read a tape measure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently and prioritize projects.
  • Must commit to generating leads which includes working with builders, Realtors, door hangers, canvassing, networking, etc.  
  • Must be a TEAM player.
  • A passion for window coverings and design is a bonus.
  • Experience in sales, design or home decoration a plus, but not required.
  • Knowledge and previous experience with window covering nice but NOT a requirement.
Physical Requirement

  • Must be able to climb stairs and lift 25lbs.
  • Must be ok measuring overhead and while on a 6-foot ladder.
  • Able to stand, kneel, bend at knees, squat throughout the day.
  • Able to sit at a desk comfortably while working on a computer for extended periods of time.
  • Primarily working directly in residential and commercial spaces; must be comfortable in these settings.
  • Able to assist covering the showroom and home shows including occasional Saturdays and some weekends.
Compensation / Additional Considerations 

  • Competitive commission structure with unlimited earning potential.
  • Average salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $150,000 per year.
  • Additional 3% IRA match available.
  • Work location is at our office; we do not offer remote work.
  • We currently do not offer health benefits.  We do partner with an independent insurance broker that has helped our team get excellent insurance at competitive rates.  Please do not apply if health benefits are a primary requirement for your employment.
