We are seeking a  Construction Inspector (Landscape Architecture)  to join our Southern California team Come join us 

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Capable of assisting the Resident Engineer in all aspects of required field Landscape Architectural Construction Inspection services and office engineering work. Understand client and customer needs Operate within the customers’ safety protocols at all times Complete all required documentation including Inspector’s Daily Reports on a daily basis Must be capable of performing inspection for quality workmanship, including field measurements of construction materials and products Monitor construction Contractor’s quality control operations, traffic control operations and monitor any special environmental contract requirements Identify changes, errors or field adjustments to the contract documents and recommend action to the Resident Engineer Monitor Prevailing Wage laws, regulations, and labor compliance

Requirements

Minimum requirements: 

Graduation from a four-year curriculum in Landscape Architecture. A documented minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Landscape construction inspection of highways or major public works projects
Or A master's or doctorate degree in Landscape Architecture or a baccalaureate degree in Landscape Architecture A documented minimum two (2) years of demonstrated experience in Landscape Architecture construction inspection for highways or major public works projects
AND Experience working with the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) standards, specifications, and Construction Manual and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) procedures Knowledge and experience with the Storm Water Pollution Prevention Program and the General Permit. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must meet internal requirements for operation of company vehicles throughout duration of employment and must maintain a valid driver’s license and insurable driving record. Must be willing and able to travel to job sites, sometimes for extended periods. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, reaching, handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, visual acuity, accommodation, and color vision Moving, carrying, and lifting objects in excess of 50 pounds Working extended hours and standing for extended periods of time Working in indoor and outdoor environments in conditions of extreme heat and cold

Compensation:

$60 - $100 hourly

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the state’s law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
