Real Estate Strategy Data Analyst

Description

The Real Estate Strategy Data Analyst will be responsible for managing, collecting, optimizing and analyzing real estate data to provide new insights and direction. The Global Real Estate team is looking for a leader to build the data roadmap from our current state of reporting to a predictive analytics organization. The Real Estate Strategy Data Analyst will collaborate with all teams across Global Workplace Services to develop strategic insights and recommended actions that help build an efficient workplace for Client. You will help build the future of real estate data with scalable systems that find the value in data from smart buildings and existing Real Estate databases.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with team members to the design, develop, integrate, and launch real estate technology services with a focus on user experience. Ensure ongoing reliability, performance, and scalability
  • Collaborate with team members to create the Real Estate data governance structure and ensure high quality and accurate data
  • Perform detailed review of all dashboards and data sources, existing and future, related to leasing, utilization, occupancy planning, operations, sustainability, etc., and lead efforts to optimize where there are opportunities
  • Drive continuous innovation in our data processes and deliverables, ultimately driving increased data driven decision making, and minimizing manual processes
  • Drive data roadmap for Real Estate tools, and measure success for the tools
  • Conduct regular training to ensure that data is accessible and approachable
  • Partner and build relationships with Workplace teams, stakeholders, and business partners to support real estate technology and data needs and strategy
  • Manage vendors to ensure real estate software versions are maintained
  • Propose new analytics and insights based on both your analytic expertise, data and system knowledge, and business insight

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of previous experience as a data analyst with at least of few of those working with key real estate data assets like occupancy data, sensor data, badge data, work orders, spatial data, and other secondary data
  • Hands on experience with Tableau for visualization tool and Excel VBA for data analysis is required.
  • Understanding and knowledge of programming logic is required.
  • Familiarity with API connections and/or processes is preferred.
  • Experience in data strategy in commercial real estate working with very large data sets is a must.
  • Effectively collaborate across multiple teams within Client to gather data collection and analysis requirements
  • Experience in cloud data management and data stewardship/governance processes
  • Hands on experience with Tableau for data analysis and as a visualization tool
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in related discipline (including Technical Field, Computer Science, Mathematics, Analytics) and 5-8 experience in data governance & analytics related roles
  • Ability to innovate, navigate, and execute in an ambiguous and dynamic environment
  • Experience analyzing data to identify deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies
  • Experience in gathering requirements and formulating business metrics for reporting
  • Ability to explain data sources and analytical approaches/options to different audiences (including executives, business units, and IT)
  • Experience with complex relational databases and programming languages with an aptitude to learn other technical applications
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills: demonstrated ability to structure complex problems, develop solutions
  • Self-starter and high degree of motivation to go above and beyond the task at hand
  • A highly flexible working style, with the ability to balance multiple competing priorities.
  • A self starter who leads by example, demonstrates good judgment, has excellent analytical skills, and is detail-oriented
  • Expectation of complete confidentiality on all business matters
  • Exposure to programming languages such as Python is a plus
  • Familiarity with MS Access or Google BigQuery is preferred.
