Senior Java Developer

What does a successful Senior Java Developer do at Fiserv?

On our money networks and prepaid solutions team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining key backend systems, mobile applications, APIs, and platforms. We’re undergoing a pivotal migration to the cloud, and your expertise will be critical in this transformation. If you’re looking for a new adventure in cloud migration, you’ll find this new experience equally challenging and rewarding.

What you will do:

Develop and maintain software solutions using Java, the Spring framework, and Spring Boot Streamline the development lifecycle by leveraging tools like GitHub, JIRA, and Docker Engage in integration testing of APIs and conduct database solutions and integrations with Oracle Design and implement full-stack solutions, focusing on digital, mobile systems, APIs, and micro-services Play a key role in our cloud migration strategy and its implementation by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment

What you will need to have:

6+ years of professional software development experience. 6+ years of experience in Java, GITHUB, JIRA, Spring framework, Python, Shell scripting, and Docker 6+ years of experience in Spring Boot 5+ years of experience with integration testing of APIs using tools such as Postman and JMeter 5+ years of experience in deploying full-stack solutions in large enterprise organizations 2+ years of experience in Agile methodologies and database integrations with Oracle Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

What would be great to have:

Experience in the payment industry Experience with PCF, or related cloud platforms, and API management Experience with Kafka, API Gateway, and container platforms Knowledge of Quarkus, NodeJS, and cloud principles Knowledge of quality and security scan tools like Sonar, Fortify, and Web Inspect Experience in cloud migration strategies and practices
