Job Description

Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset with a background in purchasing? We are currently looking for an Indirect Purchasing Team Lead . This position will lead a Regional Indirect Purchasing Team and be responsible for developing and executing an effective regional purchasing strategy within the global strategy framework. As a Regional Team Lead, you will:

Drive lean and effective process and contract landscape in indirect purchasing Ensure continuous improvement of processes / procedures to ensure high service level to Internal Business Partners Act as Regional Key Account for AMEC to support Internal Business Partners, with perspective to processes Support and lead a regional indirect purchasing team Assess and manage current sourcing processes and act as a "consultant" to meeting current business needs Lead cross-functional projects and work with a variety of groups to understand the procurement requirements and establish cost effective negotiation tactics and strategies Establish and manage relationships with internal customers/stakeholders Form business partnerships with key suppliers Establish sourcing policies and procedures

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar. At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, indirect purchasing experience strongly preferred. Ability to regularly travel domestically/regionally (up to 25%) and internationally (1-2 times/year) Passionate, flexible and performance oriented with a high level of resilience and assertiveness. Strong team player with preference to work in international teams. Self-motivated, structured and bring an entrepreneurial mindset. You have a high affinity for cross-departmental cooperation and international business. Proven track record in achieving objectives, experience in leadership and stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering or similar. Previous experience with indirect materials, as well as experience in material field and supplier strategy is strongly preferred. Ability to communicate in Spanish is preferred. German is an additional plus.
