Position Information Position Title: Intramural & Recreational Sports - Student Employment Pool Working Title: Student Intramural & Recreational Sports Position Number: UG Full-time or Part-time: Part Time Time Limited Position: No Number of Vacancies: Multiple Vacancies Department: Temporary Pools - Student Affairs Posting Number: SHRA/EHRA: Job Category: Student Hiring Range: Varies/Hourly Overall Position Competency: TMP Description of primary duties and responsibilities: Referee Attends all required meetings and trainings May officiate and judge a variety of intramural sports, games, activities and competitions Officiates or judge’s activities occurring either indoor or outdoor depending on activity/sportScorekeeper Keeping the scoreboard accurate Keeping accurate player statistics Working with game officials to ensure a fair contest Maintaining official team rosters Keeping time by starting and stopping the clock
Facilities Monitor Communicates any problems or concerns to the facilitator/supervisor Make sure all equipment is Checked In and Checked out Make sure that all facility policies are being adhered to Set up, break down, and clean up equipment
Lifeguard
(Current American Red Cross Lifeguarding and First Aid Certification required) Communicates any problems or concerns to the facilitator/supervisor Rescuing swimmers in distress Administering first aid and artificial respiration Teaching swimming Maintaining order and discipline Helping to keep the area clean Enforcing rules and regulations Staying alert to detect hazardous conditions Supervising swimming activities Ensuring policies, guidelines, and safety procedures are followed Warning swimmers of improper activities or danger Evaluating conditions for safety Initiating aquatics emergency action plan Inspecting waterfront, dock, equipment, and water Maintaining equipment and first aid inventory Description of Work Continued: Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Be enrolled full- or part-time in a degree-seeking graduate or undergraduate program with Fayetteville State University.
