Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a DBA Engineer you will be responsible for Procuring, Building, Managing, Monitoring and Alerting of all GIF (Global Integrated Fulfillment ) Databases in Production and lower environments. You will work closely with Engineering teams to understand the component functionality while building DB's. Support production issues.

Our team works closely with our US stores and eCommerce business to better serve customers by empowering team members, stores, and merchants with technological innovation. Focus areas include customers, stores and employees, in-store service, merchant tools, merchant data science, and search and personalization.

What you'll do:

All DB repeatable activities to be automated DB Build/Deployment automation DB Releases Migration from IAAS to Azure SQL DBs in PAAS West US 2 data center migration for all US infrastructure as well as International markets Hardening DB infrastructure (fine tuning current processes like Purge, Index Maintenance, daily operational activities) , Performance and CPU aspect of DB with data increase (rearchitecting some components of GIF application) FAAS database build outs (Automate) SOX Database Audit PSWD Reset (New approach for resetting password, by having multiple user IDs has to be implemented across all markets) Quarterly SOX Audit reports and meetings with auditors. SQL Patching support Disable Auto patching Orchestration Mode: From Automatic By Platform to Automatic by OS Production\Non-Production support (US, MX ,CA, FAAS, MAASMART, ASDA UK



What you'll bring:

8+ years of experience in DB administration, DB Automation. Excellent design, communication skills and a good team player.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization-related technologies. Option 2: 5 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization related technologies.

Preferred Qualifications...

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or related area and 1 Year of relevant experience in configuration management, developing automation for Provisioning and Orchestration, experience developing and managing service-level objectives (SLOs)/service level indicators (SLIs) for Infrastructure Service availability and performance.
