We are actively seeking an experienced Logistics Operations Coordinator. This position will be based out of our Collierville, TN office or remote in the Houston, TX, or Minneapolis, MN area. The Logistics Operations Coordinator will strategically optimize AOC's logistics and supply chain activities across all relevant departments. This position will work with North America Plant Managers, Plant Operations Staff, Procurement, Sales, and Customer Service to optimize the warehouse and distribution network. The position is responsible for managing and driving continuous improvement for Logistics network performance with focus on driving improved safety, service, savings, and sustainability outcomes for AOC. This position reports directly to the Vice President, Supply Chain.

As the tactical lead the Logistics Operations Coordinator will be accountable for tracking Carrier performance, delivery performance, mode optimization, order sizes and patterns for best delivered costs. In this role, the successful candidate will be the primary point person for managing and resolving carrier performance issues, supply disruptions challenges, and general logistics performance management challenges. The Logistics Operations Coordinator will also work with procurement in developing supply risk management protocols that are adaptable to changing market conditions and working capital targets.

The Logistics Operations Coordinator will play a critical role in developing, documenting, deploying, and driving continuous improvement to key business process and procedures related to Logistics related activities. This role will be fast-paced, and present an opportunity to help grow and develop their career along with the Logistics function.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the operations of freight for inbound and outbound domestic movements and serve as the point of contact for all business units to troubleshoot carrier issues, capacity availability and documentation delays Seek out cost reduction opportunities through enhanced cost controls, operational optimization, cost avoidance, and the pursuit of total cost of ownership savings Monitor and manage carrier activity to ensure consistency with carrier's contractual commitments and take corrective action to resolve discrepancies Analyze facility shipments to ensure sufficient capacity is maintained for the facility and modify using service/cost analysis to meet the facilities shipping patterns Implement and sustain formal Carrier Performance Management program including Key Performance Metrics and Quarterly Business Reviews with Top Carriers/Logistics Service Providers Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements related to logistics operations Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and products Document and define clear business process and procedures for key recurring Logistics Operations business processes and controls
