Position Information Classification Title Museum Paraprofessional/Professional FLSA Non-Exempt FTE 0. Minimum Qualifications Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Preferred Qualifications Position Summary Assist Museum Director and associated staff with collections management. These include quality control of records, general upkeep and monitoring of the collections space, and organization of the collections. Additionally, this will include upkeep of collection records, database entry, digitation of records, and general exhibit space maintenance and operations as well as phone calls and emails with patrons. And in general, assist the Director in tasks as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Physical Demands Sit/stand for extended periods. Lift lbs. Duties/Responsibilities Duties/Responsibilities Monitor museum front-desk and gallery, fielding questions on tours from voice mail and monitoring the museum email accounts. Interact with Gallery visitors and providing them with parking passes as needed. Percentage of time Duties/Responsibilities Assist in coordinating museum interns working in the on-campus collections. Including working with specimens and database work for various collections.  Coordinate Web Updates for Intern Experiences, update the Museum Events and outreach Activities, and other needed updates on the Museum Drupal website. Percentage of time Duties/Responsibilities Review the Museum’s Science Box program, inventory the various science boxes and work with Franklin College to develop box checkout program.
