Adult and Children’s Medicine of Dover
Our practice is located in a state-of-the-art facility at 10 Members Way, Dover, NH 03820. As a Family Medicine office, we provide outstanding primary care and preventive health care to patients of all ages, from newborns to seniors. Adult & Children’s Medicine is a medium-sized practice with five full-time providers plus embedded/integrated support including a clinical ambulatory pharmacist, RN Care Manager, Social Work and two Behavioral Health Consultants.
We are constantly aiming to improve access for patients and to meet the evolving health care needs of the communities we serve. Primary care is all about relationship-building We pride ourselves on our compassionate, family-focused approach. We really get to know our patients to ensure that they are receiving exceptional, personalized care in a comfortable, friendly atmosphere.

Hours
The operating hours for this practice are Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, and schedules are staggered accordingly.
Role Overview
As true partners to our nurses and providers, our Medical Assistants get the opportunity to work autonomously to the top of their education/certification while also functioning as part of the collaborative team.
Responsibilities include:
Ensuring efficient patient flow through the office Assisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed) Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.) Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areas Interacting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs.We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned practices and locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other departments in the WHP system when appropriate and needed during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances for cross-coverage purposes and to ensure adequate coverage and support.

Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required One of the following is required: Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training programEMT certificationEquivalent military trainingExperience:
Six months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.Certification:
Must obtain a national Medical Assistant certification within 1 year of employment. May be hired with CPR certification but must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire.-
