Job SummaryWe are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team at Adult and Children's Medicine of Dover. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Ensure efficient patient flow through the office
- Assist during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)
- Perform clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)
- Maintain neat, clean, and safe patient care areas
- Interact with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner consistent with their needs
We look for candidates who possess not only the relevant skills and competencies but also positive attitudes, emotional intelligence, and genuine passion for this work.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- One of the following is required: Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program, EMT certification, or equivalent military training
- Six months experience as a Medical Assistant preferred
- Must obtain a national Medical Assistant certification within 1 year of employment
- May be hired with CPR certification but must obtain BLS certification within 90 days of hire
