Nucor Towers and Structures (NTS) is a new entity within Nucor, the largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products in North America, focused on the execution of our strategy to “Expand Beyond” our core business. As a part of Nucor’s New Markets product group, NTS is focused on the exciting growth potential in the power distribution market. Current production facility is in Decatur, AL, with plans to build a national footprint.

Basic Job Functions:

Cleaning of all office/ plant common areas, bathrooms, locker rooms, and dining areas to include: dusting, sanitizing, mopping, vacuuming, sweeping, trash removal, and as needed: bail cardboard, empty trash dumpsters in plant, run floor scrubber in production areas, shovel/salt walkways when ice or snow.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead and uphold safety practices, policies, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Attention to Detail - Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met. Judgment/Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one. Teamwork – Working as part of a coordinated effort with others to achieve a common goal. Communication Skills - The ability to give full attention to what others are saying and communicating information so that others will understand Problem Solving – Identifying problems and analyzing or reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

Preferences:

Prior housekeeping experience in an office setting preferred.
