Position Role Type:

Electronics Test Engineering (ETE) designs, integrates, and deploys test solutions for development, qualification, and production testing of avionic electronic devices. The organization is a cross-functional team of Project Engineers, Circuit Engineers, Software Engineers, and Test Requirement Engineers. Our team provides a shared service that supports the Program and Product teams, as well as Production facilities around the world.

Primary Responsibilities:

Architect and develop software used to perform testing of electronic hardware and to support Smart Factory initiatives Participate in the requirements and design of test equipment Integration and troubleshooting of test solutions Develop and maintain product documentation Develop and improve software processes Work in a cross-functional, agile team that includes project, circuit, software, requirement, and product engineers

Qualifications/Experience Needed:

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering 6+ years of experience in software development Proficient in object oriented programming languages Experience with software repositories, such as Subversion or GIT Experience using basic electronic instruments – scopes, meters, etc. Experience in C#, Java programming language(s) Experience working in Windows and Linux operating systems Knowledge of SQL, XML

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return-to-work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at RTX.
