We are hiring a  1st Shift Order Management Clerk  to work out of our Melrose Park, IL facility.

Responsibilities:

Call LTL, FTL, and Flatbed carriers to schedule shipments, meeting ship dates Monitor and record all trucks entering and leaving shipping area. Scale in and out all trucks, ensuring the weight is in line with the bills of lading and packing slips Maintain communication with logistics and purchasing departments regarding any shipping delays or possible retention charges Communicate with Logistics Manager related to any concerning discrepancies in weights and scaling in/out trucks Report any unsafe or suspicious activities to Logistics Manager Maintain communication with Customer Service and Logistics department regarding shipping dates and status of orders. Prepare ship schedule report daily

Qualifications

Good understanding of shipping and receiving processes within a manufacturing environment. Proficient computer skills (email, internet, MS Excel) Strong communication and customer service skills Fluent both in English and Spanish High level of integrity and reliability Ability to work alone with little supervision
