The Opportunity

The Project Manager – Digital Products & Solutions (Pulp & Paper) is responsible for leading and managing projects focused on the implementation of advanced process control strategies to optimize industrial processes. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, ensuring project timelines and budgets are met, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

The preferred location for this position is Alpharetta, GA, however, we will welcome highly skilled and experienced candidates residing close to a major airport, anywhere in the United States.

What You Will Be Doing

Here’s an overview of your responsibilities and how you can leverage your expertise:

Develop project plans outlining scope, timelines, budget, and resource requirements. Identify and assess project risks and implement risk mitigation strategies. Define project milestones and deliverables. Lead and motivate cross-functional project teams, including engineers, technologists, technicians, and support staff. Act as the primary point of contact between the project team and the customer. Ensure clear communication of project objectives, progress, and deliverables to customers. Address customer concerns and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently. Monitor and control project costs to stay within budget constraints. Provide regular financial updates to stakeholders. Manage relationships with vendors, ensuring timely delivery of solutions and adherence to project specifications. Implement and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of reliable and secure industrial control systems. Conduct thorough testing and validation of control systems to meet industry standards and regulations. Stay current with industry regulations, standards, and best practices. Ensure that projects comply with relevant safety, security, and regulatory requirements. Maintain detailed project documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and project reports. Create and update project documentation in accordance with company and industry standards. Coordinate training programs for end-users and support teams. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting assistance as needed.

What We’re Looking For

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical or Chemical Engineering, or equivalent Minimum of 10 years’ experience in advanced process control or industrial automation Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Pulp & Paper industry Minimum of 3 years’ experience in project management; PMP certification an asset Experience with Metris technology strongly desired Strong understanding of industry standards and regulations Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication and presentation skills (English) Ability to travel frequently, as required Valid passport and ability to travel up to 50% Authorized to work in the United States
