Job Description:

The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards to maintain a safe and healthy work environment for employees. This includes overseeing the development, implementation, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures across all departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and Implement Safety Policies: Develop, update, and implement safety policies and procedures to comply with OSHA regulations and industry best practices.
  2. Training and Education: Conduct safety training programs for employees, including new hire orientations and ongoing training sessions. Ensure all employees receive appropriate training on safety procedures, equipment usage, and hazard recognition.
  3. OSHA Compliance: Monitor workplace activities to ensure compliance with OSHA standards and regulations. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • OSHA 30-hour General Industry Certification.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in occupational health and safety management.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate teams, as well as work independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to travel occasionally to different work sites.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties that may require physical exertion.
