ECS is seeking a Junior Data Scientist/Exploitation Specialist to work in our office in the Washington Metro Area. Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.
Position Description/Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supporting NSG strategy by creating automated collection models, and dynamic analytic models, employing workflow automation, and any other automation processes and products as assigned by the government customer.
- Refine, enhance, and improve the operational performance of any automated solutions by evaluating performance data, engaging in regular customer interaction, and conducting standardized maintenance cycles as needed by the government customer.
- Apply data science and visual programming trade-craft to support and streamline analysis tasks as identified by key stakeholders and the government.
- Responsible for enhancing technical solutions to problems related to intelligence integration, automated collections, tipping and cuing, information sharing, and visualization.
- Conduct extensive collections and analytic modeling, data processing, data mining, and visualization.
- Responsible for conducting gap analysis on existing technologies and processes.
- Responsible for clearly and concisely communicating with the customers on the progress of projects, processes, and emerging technologies.
- Proactively communicate data-driven findings and automation efforts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Design, integrate, and maintain Bayesian Belief Network (BBN) processes that utilize automation tools or scripts to drive predictive, activity-based automated imagery collection.
- Work closely with the customer to engage in customer elicitation to identify processing problems due to procedures, tools, and services; workarounds that may need a permanent solution; and identify gaps in tools and technology.
- Responsible for training and integrating new tools, processes, and capabilities for use in imagery collection orchestration.
- Support emerging requirements as assigned by the government.
- Local travel within the Washington DC area will be required.
- Occasional travel outside of the primary work location.
- Limited overseas travel may be required.
Required Skills:
- Must have an active/current TS/SCI minimum clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain a counterintelligence polygraph.
- Bachelors degree or 3+ years of experience.
- Proficient in common geospatial software applications and tools, such as visual programming (JEMA, FADE/MIST, ECO/ETAS), Python, SQL, Git, GIMS, AWS Sagemaker, AWS Cloud, ESRI ArcGIS, statistics (descriptive, Bayesian), Markov-Chain modeling, TensorFlow, Linear Algebra, R, SAS, NLP.
