Sheehan Buick GMC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Automotive BDC Manager to lead our Business Development Center.
The ideal candidate will drive sales growth, enhance customer experience, and manage a high-performing team of BDC representatives. Salary commensurate with experience and performance.
Job Summary
As the BDC Manager for Sheehan Buick GMC, you will establish and oversee our Business Development Center, responsible for generating and nurturing leads, setting appointments, and providing exceptional customer service.
You will lead a team of BDC representatives, implement strategies to increase sales, and collaborate with our sales and marketing departments to achieve dealership goals.


Key Responsibilities
  • Hire, train, and manage a team of BDC representatives.
  • Ensure all internet leads are followed up with until completion of sale.
  • Set and monitor performance goals for inbound and outbound calls, lead conversion, and appointment setting.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve lead generation and conversion rates.
  • Analyze sales data and customer interactions to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with executive and department managers to develop appointment setting strategies.
  • Oversee the use of CRM and other relevant software tools.
  • Manage and track all leads, including follow-up with aged sales leads.
  • Schedule sales appointments and reschedule no-show customers.
  • Provide ongoing training and support to BDC representatives.
  • Achieve sales and customer satisfaction objectives set by management.
  • Resolve customer service issues and maintain high customer satisfaction levels.
  • Continuously optimize processes to enhance efficiency and performance.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive sales or BDC management, specifically with BDC/internet.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and improving team performance.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Adaptable to changing technology and market trends.
  • Ability to manage high call volume and internet leads.
  • Outgoing personality with the ability to influence customers to schedule appointments.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge.
  • Extremely customer service oriented.
  • Dependable and reliable.

Requirements
  • Exhibit ethical behavior, provide the highest degree of customer satisfaction, and be honest in all aspects of dealing with customers.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends to support dealership operations.
