Katy, United States North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust Full time

Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Clinical Director for Respiratory with General Medicine on call duties to join our friendly and enthusiastic team at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust (NCIC).

Successful applicants must have full registration with the GMC.

Please note: You must be on the Specialist Register in order to be eligible for appointment to this level of post.

The post holder would be coming to join a committed and experienced team.

Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, dedicated team and applications are invited for the post of Clinical Director for Respiratory Medicine and General Medical on call duties. This post will be based primarily at The Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle, but with requirement to work at West Cumberland Hospital if needed.

The post involves out-patient and in-patient duties and a regular commitment to both in-reach into the medical admissions unit and on-call for general medicine. We would particularly welcome applicants with a special interest in sleep, asthma or pleural diseases, though any specialist interest would be welcomed and supported.

To be successful you will have the skills, energy and enthusiasm to lead our clinical teams, and drive the change and innovation to help us deliver the best possible care. You will inspire others and play a vital role in delivering our ambitious agenda. You will add a strong clinical voice to our leadership team and contribute to a culture which values professional excellence and enables our clinicians to be the best they can be.

It is an exciting time to join us as we work with the University of Cumbria and Imperial College London to launch the Cumbria Medical School in 2025.

Due to our geography we deliver a broad range of clinical services which are not typically found in other district general hospitals, including interventional cardiology and vascular services.

At NCIC, we have an ambition to deliver outstanding hospital and health services to half a million people. Established on 1st October 2019, the Trust is creating a centre of excellence in providing rural and remote healthcare and provides a wide range of community and acute services throughout north Cumbria and beyond.
