Job Summary

Under the supervision of the AVP, Student Success & Engagement and lead by the Associate Director of the Women's Gender Equity Center (WGEC), the incumbent provides administrative support to the WGEC. The incumbent will assist with administrative, fiscal management, and programming support. Incumbent will provide information, resources, and services as requested by visitors and various stakeholders who seek help from the Center. Furthermore, the incumbent provides services that are equitable, inclusive and provide culturally sensitive services that enhance the quality of campus life. Key Responsibilities

Administrative Support: Assist with opening and closing department including but not limited to unlocking/locking doors, turning on/off lights, computer workstations, main line call divert, and checking main line voicemail. Fiscal Coordinator and Operational Duties: Initiate monthly staff and student payroll absence reports; prepare monthly payroll reconciliation report. Program Support: Supports WGEC in outreach efforts including but not limited to resource tabling and or programming assistance as assigned.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication skills both written and orally to communicate using grammatically correct English effectively on a one-to-one basis, over the telephone, or in a group setting to obtain information. Ability to speak, lead and professionally present in public. Experience giving presentations in a variety of frameworks and content areas. Ability to exercise sound time management skills and control of projects and work pro-actively to mitigate delays, budget problems and any additional complication that may jeopardize programming and/or events. Ability to manage, organize and demonstrate command of a complex and continuously changing array of information, dates, places and people in a systematic way in order to optimize efficiency and minimize duplication of effort in the process of completing projects. Skill in analyzing information, problems, situations procedures etc. to define the problem, identify relevant issues, and generate reasonable and appropriate alternatives or solutions.

Operate in a calm and understanding manner with those in need or those seeking assistance, particularly in urgent situations. Strong writing skills to produce reports and synthesize large amounts of information. Ability to be collaborative and build community to foster an inclusive environment. Education and Experience

• Equivalent to four years of administrative support experience required.

Preferred:

• Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in one of the behavioral sciences (counseling and guidance, human relations), public or business administration, or a job-related field.

• Full-time student in a Student Development in Higher Education Master's program.

Physical Summary

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $3,680 - $4,732 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,680 - $5,783 per month.
