Woodfords Family Services has an exciting opening for a Substitute School-based Behavioral Health Professional (BHP) in Bangor, ME

This is a per-diem position that requires on-call flexibility to accommodate scheduling needs in the absence of the BHP.


Position Summary

The Substitute School-based BHP works one-on-one with a child or adolescent in the public school setting in the absence of the assigned BHP. Ability to be on-call for scheduling Monday through Friday is a required element for this role.

Through the use of evidence-based practices, the substitute school-based BHP will help foster a therapeutic, enriched, and meaningful learning environment for students to learn and thrive with independence


What we're looking for:

Per Diem - As needed; No Weekends

8:30am - 3:30pm schedule (hours may vary based on school schedule)

$20.00 - $22.00/hour - commensurate with experience

$375 Sign-on Bonus - Paid after 6 months employment


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience (paid or volunteer) working with children; experience with the special needs population preferred.
  • BHP certification (course can be completed as part of employment and paid for by Woodfords)
  • Valid driver's license with current auto insurance and use of a reliable vehicle
