About the Opportunity: We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, an up-and-coming civil engineering firm, for multiple full-time Senior Project Manager positions. As a key leader within the engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing project design and execution, ensuring that client expectations are not only met but exceeded. This role involves direct interaction with clients and public agencies, managing plan processing, and delivering high-quality outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify design criteria and plan effective designs that align with client expectations.
  • Provide direct client interface and lead the processing of plans at public agencies.
  • Engage in marketing, business development, and the pursuit of new work (a book of business is required).
  • Manage administrative and financial tasks, including invoicing, budget monitoring, proposals, and change orders.
  • Develop schedules and supervise the coordination of workflow within the design team.
  • Conduct site investigations and oversee coordination with outside consultants and internal departments.
  • Supervise or directly contact agencies and manage the approval process for plans, resolving design issues and ensuring compliance with agency requirements.
  • Track project budgets, provide billing instructions, and manage change order requests as necessary.
  • Conduct staff reviews, provide training and coaching, and ensure time is accurately charged to projects.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of ten years of civil engineering design experience, including at least three years as a central design figure for a team.
  • EIT certification is required; a PE license or the ability to obtain one within two years of hire/promotion is also required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and team-building skills.
