Responsibilities

Global Business Service Unit (GBSU) US delivers day-to-day services to Global Banking & Investor Solutions (GBIS) and its clients. GBSU consists of entities composed of IT & non-IT teams working side-by-side under the same leadership. GBSU supports the goal of rolling out a services platform model, spreading the technology and data culture, shortening decision-making processes, and adopting an industrial approach to ensure secure, stable, and compliant operations, as well as continuously improving front to back processing environments. GBSU maintains production services for applications, systems, and infrastructure, facilitates entry into new markets, ensures compliance with regulatory needs, as well as business growth & development.

ITEC Compliance in the US builds and supports applications that help SG to comply with regulatory requirements specified by the regulators. The major regulators of SG’s business in US are Federal Reserve Bank, FINRA, SEC, CFTC and NY Department of Finance. The four major areas that ITEC Compliance focuses on are: 1. Regulatory Governance and Risk Assessment 2. Financial Crime (Sanctions/OFAC and Transaction Monitoring) 3. Broker Dealer Trade Reporting, Trade Surveillance, Employee Trade Reporting and Surveillance and 4. Futures Commission Merchant Compliance.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

Follow AGILE process to deliver application solutions for Compliance AML systems Maintain SG GEN2 Cloud servers, including administrative tasks, capacity management and patch/version management Provide level three support to Compliance AML applications and systems Compliance with ALL ITEC policies related to access management, change management, source code control are vulnerability management Perform Permanent Supervision controls as necessary

Profile required

Skills and Experience:

Three years of progressive experience in applications support/development in an investment banking environment Knowledge and experience with Private Cloud environments with AWS/AZURE frameworks Knowledge and experience with Standard Development Life Cycle (SDLC), from coding, testing and delivery of application solutions in an invest banking environment Experience in producing functional and technical specification documents from user business requirements

Technical Skills: 

Required:

Advanced skills in MS Office tools such as Excel / PowerPoint / Project Operating system knowledge for Linux and Windows Transact SQL for RDBMS (Oracle and/or PostgreSql) Knowledge of scripting languages including Shell Scripting, Python, R, Java and C++

Desired / Plus:

Knowledge of HDFS (Hadoop) and Scala/Spark Knowledge of Python data science libraries

Competencies: 

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability Ability to quickly learn new systems, products and businesses Team-oriented, client-focused and open to different ideas/viewpoints Capable of prioritizing tasks and juggling multiple projects Ability to design and build structured data solutions to collect, process (ETL) and present data Ability to perform data analysis and data quality checks to improve the quality of the data Exposure to managing multi-million dollar programs / project 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Management, Mathematics or an equivalent subject area
