Job Description:

The Stockroom Parts Clerk/Buyer will be responsible for procurement of all stockroom inventories, business system data maintenance, and reconciliation of transactions through SAP. The incumbent will work in SAP PM to release storeroom items as parts are issued. This position is to support maintenance and plant activities and minimize equipment downtime through efficient coordination of parts and supply inventories as well as to support the entire facility through organized receiving of all supplies.

The Storeroom Parts Clerkmust maintain spare parts and supplies inventories for maintenance, receive all MRO supplies, source and expedite day to day parts, equipment, tools and emergency orders. Must have the ability to extract relevant data as well as using data from storeroom business systems and place orders as needed. Must be able to interface with customers, vendors, transportation agencies, freight forwarders, and various internal departments to achieve the lowest possible cost, desired delivery times, and fair return practices. Buyer will interface with maintenance during weekly meetings to achieve cost requirements, stock levels, and parts kitting for planned work orders, to achieve less downtime and efficient .’s. Buyer will also Interface with planner scheduler to ensure appropriate parts are on hand and ready to pair up with planned work orders.

What are we looking for?

5-10 years' experience in storeroom, purchasing, accounting, or related field Someone who has excellent computer skills with experience in SAP, Microsoft Word and Excel. Strong work ethic with high energy and initiative Must be able to organize files and keep the storeroom in an organized manner High School Diploma or GED

What will be your key responsibilities?

Oversee procurement of all stockroom inventories and ensure timely deliveries of parts to avoid outages. Reconcile Cycle Count Sheets, research discrepancies, review changes. This is a critical task and many process improvements are identified through effective reconciliation. Also ensure reconciliation of Purchasing card transactions and blanket purchase orders. Review adjustment, receiving, inventory and statistics reports with the ability to extract relevant data as well as using data to effectively manage the operation from all business standpoints including storeroom business systems. Procurement of Storeroom replenishment inventory. Ability to interface with customers, vendors, transportation agencies, freight forwarders, and various internal departments. Interface with maintenance during weekly meetings to achieve cost requirements, stock levels, and parts kitting for planned workorders, to achieve less downtime and efficient .’s. Manage all supply groups, parts warranty, and OEM parts with suitable replacements Ability to set up training with applicable vendors Ability to direct other associates and prioritize work Manage and coordinate site input for Accounts Payable, ensuring documentation and approvals are completed. Ensuring inventory accuracy by conducting 2 full cycle counts annually Ability to be self-directed with strong organizational skills, and detail-oriented Ensure cleanliness in all part areas including tools and fastener areas Associate is responsible for communicating and elevating any quality and food safety concerns to site management
