How can you grow with Nufarm?

Based in Greenville, MS Nufarm is looking for a Quality Lab Supervisor who will be responsible for planning, directing, and guiding the day-to-day activities of the site’s Quality laboratory. You will also supervise department employees to ensure a zero-incident mindset regarding safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

What will you be doing?

Responsible for establishing and maintaining a zero-incident mindset in the Quality Lab. Plans, directs, and guides the day-to-day activities of the Quality Lab Analysts. Supports quality lab standards. Ensures that all quality protocols and procedures are followed. Supports assurance that Contamination Prevention Code of Practice is followed. Acts as the site LIMS administrator while ensuring data accuracy. Uses statistical tools, troubleshoots and drives quality continuous improvement projects for the lab. Drives plant equipment washing and laboratory test method validation programs. Trains staff in safe and efficient work techniques. Troubleshoots formulation, manufacturing process, and analytical test method issues. Creates and maintains batch sheets and department databases. Serves as the site lab’s technical expert. Trains lab employees relative to technical topics. Evaluates and coaches direct reports and completes supporting documentation. Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements relative to the Quality Department’s activities. Coordinates wash-tote/rework program and creates batch-sheets to reuse the materials in batches. Ensures all batch sheets are created within contamination prevention guidelines. Conducts all principal duties of a Lab Analyst as required for plant operation. Uses statistical tools to drive continuous improvement relative to laboratory quality processes. Provides assigned Unusual Incident Report (UIR) investigations and corrective actions. Creates and oversees instrumentation maintenance and preventive maintenance programs. Maintains backups of test methods and data from laboratory instrumentation. Facilitates/drives and actively participates in analytical method and cleaning validation programs.

What do you bring?

You hold a bachelor's degree in chemistry or a closely related field, plus a minimum of 5 years of appropriate laboratory experience. Additionally, you have a strong understanding of modern laboratory analytical instrumentation, including but not limited to HPLC’s. The ideal candidate will strong hands-on experience performing QC laboratory analyses.
