Responsibilities

Using Solidworks, concept, design, and build automation equipment. Work as part of a team using critical thinking skills to develop new machine platforms. Provide mechanical installation support and technical expertise throughout project. Work unsupervised in the assembly, set-up, and integration of automation equipment as needed. Optimize performance of automated equipment, inspection equipment and robotic work-cells. Work with vendors on project requirements and establish equipment specifications. Collaborate on training instructions and standard operating procedures for use in equipment implementation. Participate in all aspects of safety, costs savings, continuous improvement and innovation initiatives. Adhere to all Berry Global, industry, and / or regulatory procedures

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year mechanical design experience with strong Solidworks experience. Strong project management, organization, and problem solving skills Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work independently and with others. Ability to work at continuously varying heights for an 8 hour shift and lift 50 lbs. occasionally. Excellent verbal and written skills. Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
